DISASTERMANAGEMENT
The school has taken the following steps towards disaster management:

A safe and effective evacuation plan has been created for
emergency conditions.
-
A well-stocked infirmary is present on campus to administer immediate
first-aid to students with minor injuries. Parents are called and
informed about any injury.
-
Cameras, Fire Extinguishers and Firefighting equipment have been
installed at all relevant places in the campus.
-
Effective alarms to alert students in case of an emergency.
-
Regular upkeep and maintenance of safety equipment.
-
All visitors are to log in at registers at the school gate.
-
A daily regular attendance is taken in all classes.
-
All students and staff of the school have an Identity (ID) Card
with their relevant details.
CHILDPROTECTION
The CCBI recognizes that children are most vulnerable in any society. At
St. Mary’s we have formulated a system to protect children from
physical, emotional and sexual abuse. An antibullying policy is also in
place so no child feels intimidated by any other
person.
The Protection Officer is a member of a Centre of Activity (COA)
appointed to ensure that all protective measures for safe guarding
children are in place and implemented. Any kind of child abuse is
reported to the Protection Officer by anyone who observes or witnesses
it.
Every precaution is taken to avoid accidents. In case of an accident in
school, first-aid is given and if required the student might be taken
to the nearest hospital while the parent / guardian is informed of the
emergency. School strives to create awareness and a safe environment for
children.
